Academic background

I am Julia Turner, a medical translator and editor who has been working with languages for more than ten years. My academic background includes a Bachelor's degree in French and Hispanic Studies, a Master's in Translation and Intercultural Mediation, and most recently a Master's in Public Health. The meta-analysis I worked on for my dissertation was published in a first quartile journal (https://doi.org/10.1111/pai.13655).

Further training has included a translation internship with the Unversity of Salamanca and the Centre of Imaging and Technology for Biomedical Knowledge (CITEC-B), and a translation traineeship at the European Parliament Secretariat in Luxembourg.

I have been working freelance since 2015, and most of my working hours are currently spent translating and editing scientific manuscripts.
